Dress Code Policy created January 22, 2025

Dear Families and Students,
As a Christian homeschool community committed to honoring God and creating a respectful learning environment, we have established the following dress code guidelines:

Clothing Standards:
  • General Principles: Clothing should be modest, clean, and appropriate for educational settings
Clothing that draws undue attention or creates distractions is not permitted
  • Specific Restrictions: No cropped shirts or tops that expose midriff
-No mini skirts or dresses (skirts/dresses must extend to at least knee length when standing)
-Shorts must be bermuda length or longer (minimum mid-thigh)
-No see-through or overly tight clothing
-No clothing with inappropriate graphics, offensive language, or questionable messages
-No excessively ripped or torn clothing
  • Layering: Modest layering is encouraged
Appropriate undergarments must be worn and not visible
  • Footwear: Closed-toe shoes recommended for safety in activity-based classes
    No flip-flops during physical activities
  • Additional Guidelines:
    -Modest necklines (no plunging necklines)
-No spaghetti straps or tank tops without a covering layer
-Leggings must be worn with a top that covers the hips
-No clothing that promotes secular values contrary to our Christian mission
Enforcement:
  • Parents will be contacted if dress code violations occur
  • Students may be asked to change or cover inappropriate clothing
  • Repeated violations may result in additional consequences
We appreciate your support in maintaining a respectful, modest, and focused learning environment that honors our community’s values. Again, just as with the student phones-usage policy, if you have any questions, please see the church leadership and/or its Director.

Thank you!

Blessings,
The Schoolhouse Network Tri-Cities Leadership Team
