Ages/Grade(s) Recommendation: Grades K-5th

Class Summary: Children will become engaged with our country’s earliest history through stories, art, and hands-on projects. They will meet some of its earliest people, the explorers who stumbled upon her greatest riches and the fascinating individuals who came to call this land “HOME.” Students will demonstrate a working understanding through discussion, writing and/or illustrations based on each child’s abilities. In this class, children will also have opportunities to work on projects that represent the time period, try unique and forgotten recipes, as well as become immersed in the beautiful music of early America. The objective of this class is for children to walk away with a new perspective and appreciation for our country’s origins while creating lasting memories.

Orientation: A basic syllabus/outline will be given to parents outlining supplies and courses to download or access from SchoolhouseTeachers.com.

Length of Class: Two semesters (full school year)

Days: One day per week, FRIDAYS
Duration: 45 minutes
