Class Summary: This class predominantly covers physical health and the body systems (organs, skeleton, muscles, etc.). All students will learn the importance of personal care, including: healthy eating habits, getting enough rest as well as daily physical activity. Students will go into an in-depth study about healthy food choices and why our bodies need them and creating healthy fitness habits.

Orientation: A basic syllabus/outline will be given to parents outlining supplies and courses to download or access from SchoolhouseTeachers.com.

Length of Class: One semester

Days: One day per week, FRIDAYS

Note from Renee Yates: As a grandparent, I am excited about teaching Health & Nutrition for grades K-2 at Parker’s Chapel Church Schoolhouse in Kingsport. It is wonderful to be involved in my grandson’s homeschool experience, as well as with all of the terrific students who will be in my classroom. I look forward to teaching and learning about these topics in a Christian setting. During the class, we will explore, experiment and discover what is healthy and nutritious Christian living. I hope you and your child will join us!
